What do you think of the grievances aired in public by the daughter of the sidelined DMK leader M.K.Azhagiri against her uncle and Tamil Nadu CM M.K.Stalin? Does Azhagiri still has some clout in the southern districts?

 Very first question we need to ask why alagiri was moved to madurai from Chennai because that distance made him to occupy the lesser space in politics when compared to his younger brother stalin.

Some news said that alagiri was sent by karunanidhi to manage the madurai unit of murusoli. Few more highlights that as his wife kanthi alagiri’s request that he moved to madurai and it is her hometown.

Some unofficial information said that kanthi alagiri is a distant relative of late congress vetran politician Kakkan and more over karunanidhi disliked the marriage of his son with kanthi alagiri who is from dalit community. That is also the key reason that made the karunanidhi who asked alagiri to get shifted to madurai.

When mgr was chief minister there was a missing of vaira(diamond) vel (weapon of lord Muruga), for that karunanidhi performed the patha yatra(Foot March) from madurai to Tiruchendur. For that alagiri made the massive arrangement.

But on the other side stalin who is at Chennai had all the opportunities to meet all the party functionaries and also very close to his father. Stalin was given opportunity in 1984 assembly where he lost. But stalin became mla in 1989 and subsequently in 1996 as Chennai mayor and in mid of 2009 as deputy chief minister.

On the other hand alagiri who operates from madurai had a few support base. He won a madurai parliament seat during 2009 and became cabinet minister in manmohan singh ministry. But he had not concentrated well in his ministry post and major of his works which he supposed to do as a minister and also while presenting the speeches in parliament, only the deputy minister of his portfolio handled it and presented it in parliament respectively.

Alagiri was keep on insisting his father to have the space in state politics but karunanidhi refused and which developed the further enmity with in the family and one fine morning around 2012 or 2014, anbalagan announced that alagiri was terminated from dmk.

Alagiri introduced the thirumangalam formula where he helped the party to win in one of the by-election by distributing huge amount of money.

And after alagiri ouster, stalin family dominating in dmk, which now his son-in-law sabareesan very cleverly handling and suppose if dmk would win 2026 that is also the efforts of sabareesan.

There may be in future rift that happen between udayanidhi stalin (son of stalin),: deputy cm and sabareesan. Sabareesan may be future chandra babu naidu which many political observers predicting at present.

For any top position always there will be a competition, those who know the tactics will win and it is applicable to all our life's as well.
