Stalin, don't you think this is a bit much?
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, during the Northern Zone Party Agents’ Conference held today (14.02.2026), took pride in claiming that his five-year rule has achieved milestones that will be praised for a thousand years.
To see what those "achievements" actually are, I have listed a few that I am aware of here:
* Ignoring sanitation workers who have been protesting for six months, and occasionally arresting them to disperse their protests.
* Privatizing sanitation work.
* Allotting protest sites for agitating nurses in isolated outskirts of the city and keeping the toilets there locked.
* Failing to ensure the permanent employment of JACTO-GEO teachers and deceiving them by not restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
* Running TASMAC (liquor outlets) at a loss, despite it generating thousands of crores in revenue.
* Ministers and DMK functionaries continuously engaging in uncivilized speech and physical attacks against the public.
* Tamil Nadu becoming a state with high rates of violence and atrocities against the marginalized (Dalits).
* Failing to find the culprits who mixed human excrement in a water tank (Vengaivayal issue) to this day.
* Increasing bus fares and electricity tariffs twice within the last five years.
* Increasing property tax and professional tax severalfold.
* Insulting members of the public who utilize free government schemes.
* Giving false promises about canceling the NEET exam despite knowing it cannot be done.
* Arresting journalists and YouTubers on false charges for bringing out the truth.
I could list over a hundred such "achievements" of the DMK government, but I have only listed a few of them above.
