📰 Prashant Kishor: A Look after his bihar defeat
When I see Prashant Kishor (PK), I immediately remember a famous dialogue from the tamil movie Thiruvilayadal.
Sivaji Ganesan, playing Lord Shiva, tells Nagesh (Dharumi): "The man who directs the whole drama, can he also act in it, my son?"
It is similar to this. Prashant Kishor was the political strategist for many big and strong parties with huge grassroots systems, like the BJP, Trinamool Congress, and DMK. Using his super-sharp mind and highly skilled team, he helped these parties find victory.
We must agree that this victory was not easy. To achieve it, PK had to do many complex political calculations, apply many formulas, and guess correctly at many stages whether something would work or fail. He gave the final data to the parties, and they won.
But, starting a new political party is not that easy a thing. For this, you need to build the entire structure from the ground up. You need all kinds of people in the party, from the common man to high-level politicians and strategists. Only if this is ready can your political calculations turn into success.
The person who directs a play does not know how to act in it. But he can use the talents of others brilliantly and make the play a big success.
Similarly, many people who worked as Auditors for big companies failed when they started their own business. Why? Because they did not understand the basic foundation and daily working of that business.
So, the main thing we have to understand from all this is: Only a sharp political mind plus the right, strong grassroots structure can make a political party shine. This is what we learn from the failure of Prashant Kishor’s own party, Jan Suraj.
