ADMK 4 Winning mlas in 1996 election

 In 1996 there was a strong negative wave against the Admk rule which was headed by former cm Jayalalithaa and it was her first regime(1991–96). More over i was a school student but any how I share the details from my memory registry.

As i mentioned in many of my posting, Jayalalithaa herself lost in bargur assembly constituency during 1996.

Let's come to the number of seats it had won, which was only 4. (Congress was a major align partner).

Four assembly seats were

  1. Aranthangi assembly constituency won by thirunavukarasar.
  2. Rasipuram assembly constituency won by P.R.Sundaram
  3. Srivilliputhur assembly constituency won by thamaraikani
  4. Sankarankovil assembly constituency won by Karrupasamy.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐫𝐮 Located along the  Tirupati-Chittoor bypass route , the  Vakula Matha Temple  is a place I never miss whenever I visit  Tirupati . At the temple entrance, an inscription confirms that this sacred site was originally built during the  Chola dynasty .
