Jagbar Ali - Social activist

 Jagbar ali who was a social activist and belongs to AIADMK. He had a more interest towards protecting the natural resources. He belongs to Pudukkottai district. In the Pudukkottai district, there is a locality named thirumayam, there large number of illegal land mining and abundance number of sand/stone smuggling taken place.

Jagbar ali often makes complaints to concern authorities and very often makes the police complaint against the culprits. He requested the police protection to him as he is getting continuos death threats from land mining mafias. But it was denied and there was no secrecy maintained whenever he made a complaint, police made the short arrest and the culprits released in short while.

Details of complaints which ali made, immediately it passed on to the criminals, so he had a continuous death threat from all the end.

On January 12,2025 when ali was returning from mosque after completing the prayer, he was brutally killed by lorry, which passed over his two-wheeler vehicle. Initially police suspects it was a accident, later due to people protests, police lodged the complaint and arrested the culprits.

Culprits in their confession revealed that in order to ensure that ali to be killed, they passed on the heavy vehicle lorry over him many times.

Law and order is in such a bad situation in tamilnadu, criminals had a free hand to do anything as they like.

Even AIADMK also fails to highlights the issue which should to made it to reach the national attention. As a opposition AIADMK had a chance to highlight this incident and also the victim belongs to minority community, but AIADMK fails to exhibit this matter,even muslims organisation protested only for the thiruparankundram issue not to the jagbar ali case, which is a sad state of development in tamilnadu.

But bjp president for tamilnadu unit Annamalai condemned the killing.

Even few brahmin association leaders condemned the murder of social activist jagbar ali, but ali didn't get any support from the Muslim organisations, which is a sad truth.

During last week 2 college students were brutally murdered by the local gang when the students highlights illicit liquor that been sold near the temple in Mayiladuthurai.

From 2025 there were continuous law and order issues in tamilnadu which opposition fails to exhibit and all the state media of tamilnadu were staunch ruling party supporters.
