BAD GIRL movie - Degrading brahmin customs
A look at the movie Bad Girl. (Upcoming tamil movie which would be screened shortly in theatres).
I heard through websites that the movie is made to justify the degradation of Brahmin culture by a Brahmin woman.
This is nothing new.
There are some successful movies that have caused such degradation of Brahmin culture.
2) Sethu
3) Saami
5) Love Today (a Sathyaraj movie that came out two years ago).
7) Aravindan
8) Raja (Ajith movie)
These are some of the sample movies mentioned above. In all of these, a Brahmin woman/man is shown marrying or falling in love with a man/woman from another community.
Those film stories and the scenes with good cinematography, good story flow and humor etc, promote intercaste marriages.
Why do I say this? Sometimes, if you go to the theater and get stuck, you can't get up (your friends will ask questions or the door in the theater will be closed until the movie is over). I have seen such films because of such problems.
If a huge protest is held against such films, it will become an advertisement for that film.
Even if we ignore this, it will cause social unrest.
Through this, we should create awareness among the youth of our society.
Personally, I don't like intercaste/interfaith marriages being shown in films at all.
Generally, I have avoided such films for a long time, like this ,where a Brahmin woman elope and falls in love with a coolie and a rowdy .
Even if it is a comedy and a film with a good story flow, we should create awareness among our children so that they do not watch such films which were against Brahmin culture, we cannot restrict them from watching, at least we can warn them .
In the name of a thrilling experience, such thoughts arise in the age of 20-25, why should we not do this as shown in film stories?
Whether All Brahmin youths perform Sandhya Vandanam and brahmachari's doing Samithathanam regularly?
Brahmin Women are walking around as fashionable young women? Do they at least give space to our culture in their clothes or give importance to culture?
Both above mentioned we can't expect from brahmin male or female.
Considering all the above , we should gradually create awareness among them so that they do not watch such films, we should make them understand that such films are being made with the aim of causing cultural degradation and destroying Brahmin tradition.
Otherwise, brahmin cultural disaster will only happen.
